Project Manager – Global Health Security

About the role

FHI 360 is seeking a Project Manager to lead the Global Health Security (GHS) component of the EpiC project in Laos. The role will coordinate the design, implementation and monitoring of activities that strengthen outbreak detection, field epidemiology training, laboratory and surveillance systems, and biosafety practices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate GHS activities, ensuring delivery on schedule, within budget and aligned with national and donor priorities.
• Oversee capacity‑building teams, develop project plans, documentation, training materials and budget proposals.
• Monitor progress, address issues, evaluate performance and report to the Project Director.
• Manage operational aspects, track budgets, timelines and deliverables, and identify and mitigate risks.
• Design, monitor and ensure compliance of sub‑awards and contractual requirements.
• Represent EpiC Laos in meetings with the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, provincial authorities and other GHS partners.
• Prepare and submit financial and activity reports to national authorities and donors.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing health‑related projects in low‑resource settings.
• Strong understanding of global health security, outbreak response and field epidemiology.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills with government ministries and international partners.
• Ability to work in a matrix environment and manage multiple components simultaneously.
