Community Health System Strengthening Project Coordinator

About the role

The Community Health System Strengthening (CHSS) Project Coordinator will support the implementation of health interventions in partnership with provincial and district health offices, ensuring activities are adapted to local contexts and aligned with World Vision’s objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Provincial and District Health Offices to tailor project implementation to community needs.
• Implement the project log‑frame within the agreed design and budget.
• Prepare and submit impact stories, monthly, quarterly, semi‑annual and annual reports, and detailed implementation plans.
• Identify and mitigate risks with government counterparts to ensure quality delivery.
• Organise training, coaching and mentoring for Village Health Volunteers (VHVs) on technical curricula.
• Lead reflection and learning activities to improve technical implementation.
• Ensure VHVs have the capacity to conduct RMNCAH household visits.
• Conduct regular monitoring, spot‑checks and use standardized monitoring tools.
• Analyse and disaggregate data in collaboration with the MEAL team to track progress for vulnerable mothers and children.
• Train and engage project partners and stakeholders in monitoring and learning.
• Coordinate with partner project coordinators to ensure equitable village coverage.
• Represent World Vision at district and health centre levels to strengthen collaborative relationships.
• Work with administrative and finance staff to plan activities and manage procurement and budgeting requirements.

Required profile

• Experience working with government health offices and community‑based health projects.
• Proven ability to produce evidence‑based reports and impact stories on time.
• Strong coordination skills with multiple partners and internal teams.
• Capacity to lead training, coaching and mentorship activities.
• Ability to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
