Manager, Distribution Center Operations & Transportation

About the role

The Manager, Distribution Center (DC) Operations & Transportation leads end‑to‑end warehouse and distribution activities for DKSH’s Consumer Goods business across Laos. This position is responsible for ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost‑effective supply‑chain delivery while driving operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and refine DC strategies, policies and processes to optimise capacity, productivity and cost.
• Oversee timely and accurate order fulfilment and distribution operations.
• Plan and manage manpower, equipment and facility requirements to maintain uninterrupted operations.
• Monitor cost drivers, implement business controls and deliver solutions to reduce expenses and increase revenue.
• Ensure compliance with Good Documentation Practice (GDP) and maintain rigorous quality control for inventory accuracy.
• Manage root‑cause analysis and corrective actions for stock, quality and fulfillment issues.
• Build strong customer relationships through regular feedback and operational reviews.
• Collaborate with sales, business development and other internal stakeholders to maximise warehouse utilisation.
• Monitor temperature‑controlled and cold‑chain storage conditions in line with global quality standards.
• Set team goals, drive learning and development, and ensure alignment with DKSH behaviours.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics Management or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in distribution centre operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong understanding of DC operations, distribution, transportation and cross‑border supply chains.
• Proven track record in managing KPIs, cost structures and productivity improvement initiatives.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
