Deputy General Manager, Vehicle Rentals

About the role

The Deputy General Manager will support the General Manager in overseeing the vehicle rentals business in Laos. Reporting directly to the General Manager, Vehicle Rentals Laos & Indonesia, this position ensures operational excellence, profitability, and compliance with RMA Group standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional collaboration across rental operations, fleet, finance, HR, and customer service.
• Assist in developing and executing commercial strategies and key account management for corporate clients.
• Drive operational efficiency throughout the fleet lifecycle, including maintenance and related activities.
• Champion digital tools and systems to streamline processes and reduce paper use.
• Ensure compliance with RMA Group standards and local regulations.
• Represent the General Manager when required and act as second‑in‑command.
• Monitor the annual budget, support financial reporting, and implement cost‑control initiatives.
• Foster a high‑performance culture, develop leadership capabilities, and align team structures, headcount, and KPIs with strategic objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• Several years of management experience in a comparable business environment.
• Strong understanding of modern motor industry practices, especially in vehicle rentals.
• Demonstrated P&L responsibility and financial analysis skills.
• Ability to apply scenario planning, strategic thinking, and long‑term business planning.
