Technician Technical Services

About the role

As a Technician in Technical Services you will ensure the reliability and performance of heavy diesel vehicles, generators and related equipment for DKSH's clients in Laos. Your technical expertise directly supports customer satisfaction and the delivery of high‑quality engineering solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on generators, heavy diesel vehicles and equipment to minimise downtime.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot diesel engine issues, applying reconditioning and engine‑rebuilding techniques.
• Provide timely, first‑class technical service to customers, strengthening trust and satisfaction.
• Support a diverse portfolio of engine brands, including Cummins, applying diagnostic expertise across multiple platforms.
• Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and report any safety concerns.
• Maintain accurate documentation such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality‑assurance forms and system entries.
• Carry out administrative and coordination tasks as required.

Required profile

• Certificate in mechanics and/or electrical engineering from a technical school, community college or equivalent (preferred).
• 2–3 years post‑apprenticeship experience as a mechanic with heavy diesel products and equipment.
• Experience servicing heavy diesel engines; familiarity with Cummins engines is an advantage.
• Qualified as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (light‑vehicle mechanic qualifications also considered).
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles for heavy equipment, machinery and IoT technology.
• Solid diagnostic capabilities supported by good IT proficiency.
