GT Channel Manager – General Trade (Laos)

About the role

Unilever is seeking a commercially‑driven GT Channel Manager to lead channel growth and execution excellence in Laos. You will translate category growth plans into actionable initiatives, partner with cross‑functional teams, and drive market performance across the General Trade channel.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute General Trade channel strategies for the Laos market.
• Convert category growth plans into sales, market‑share, distribution and profitability targets.
• Monitor sell‑in, sell‑out, distribution and market‑share metrics to identify growth opportunities.
• Manage trade investments (BMI, Trade Terms Spending) to ensure strong ROI and budget compliance.
• Collaborate closely with Category, CSP, CD Excellence and Field Sales teams to bring plans to life.
• Drive execution excellence through Perfect Store implementation, promotional activations and in‑store visibility.
• Analyse sales data, shopper insights, competitor activity and market trends to support business decisions.
• Leverage digital and data‑driven tools to improve channel effectiveness.
• Build future‑ready capabilities and champion continuous improvement across the channel team.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in Trade Marketing, Channel Management, Sales or Customer Development within FMCG.
• Strong understanding of General Trade dynamics and route‑to‑market strategies.
• Proven ability to develop and execute channel plans that deliver business results.
• Commercial and financial acumen with experience managing trade budgets.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to influence cross‑functional teams without formal authority.
• Experience with Perfect Store implementation and field‑sales execution is an advantage.
• Familiarity with digital and AI‑enabled tools is a plus.
