Lao Interpreter – Remote (Night Shifts)

About the role

This remote position offers Lao‑English consecutive interpretation for a variety of sectors, including healthcare, finance, government and emergency services. The role is 100% work‑from‑home and requires night‑shift availability.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consecutive interpretation during live conversations such as doctor‑patient, banker‑client, and other professional interactions.
• Handle telephone or video calls on demand, accurately conveying meaning between English and Lao speakers.
• Explain cultural concepts when requested to avoid miscommunication.

Required profile

• Excellent listening, retention and note‑taking abilities.
• Ability to stay neutral, objective and maintain confidentiality.
• Bilingual proficiency: B2 CEFR English level and native Lao.
• Available for night‑shift schedules, with entry times ranging from 7 pm to 3 am.

Required skills

• Consecutive interpretation techniques.
• Familiarity with industry terminology across healthcare, finance, insurance, utilities, travel, emergency services and legal sectors.
