Lao Interpreter (Work From Home) - Based in Laos

About the role

We are a translation and interpretation services company seeking a Lao‑English interpreter to work remotely from Laos. The position is 100 % work‑from‑home and operates on a rotating night‑shift schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consecutive interpretation for live conversations such as doctor‑patient, banker‑client, and other sectors.
• Handle telephone or video calls on demand, rendering the meaning of conversations in English and Lao.
• Process information quickly and concisely while recognizing sensitive cultural differences.
• Use appropriate industry terminology and understand common procedures across healthcare, finance, government, and other fields.
• Interpret a range of subjects, from simple to technical, including emergency services and legal contexts.

Required profile

• Excellent listening, retention and note‑taking skills to maintain high accuracy.
• Ability to concentrate, stay detached, remain neutral and objective during interpretation.
• Capability to quickly establish personal credibility and follow client instructions closely.
• Skill to explain cultural concepts when requested by the client.
• B2 CEFR English level, bilingual in Lao and English.
• Willingness and ability to work permanently from home on night‑shift hours.
