Network Engineer

About the role

ZTE Laos is seeking a Network Engineer to join its regional team. The role focuses on on‑site commissioning, operation, and maintenance of IP network equipment, ensuring reliable service delivery for customers across Laos.

Key responsibilities

• Commission, operate, and maintain IP network devices on customer sites.
• Perform network monitoring, generate change requests, and support equipment acceptance processes.
• Execute software upgrades, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and produce analysis reports.
• Conduct technical exchanges with customers, deliver performance analysis, and provide training.
• Stay current with IP networking technologies and industry best practices.
• Participate in regular customer meetings and other department‑assigned tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in telecommunications, electronics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in English or Chinese for technical communication.
• Minimum CCNA or JNCIA certification; CCNP, JNCIP or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.
• Fast learner with adaptability to new technologies.

Required skills

• IP networking fundamentals (OSI model, subnetting, NAT, ACLs, QoS, VRF, IPsec).
• Routing protocols: OSPF, BGP, IS‑IS.
• Layer‑2 protocols: STP, VLAN, LACP.
• Network equipment software upgrade and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshooting and network analysis.
• CCNA, JNCIA (minimum); CCNP, JNCIP (preferred).
