Payment Processing Officer

About the role

The Payment Processing Officer supports the payment processing area by handling domestic and international payments submitted through various channels, ensuring timely and accurate processing while adhering to ANZ policies and risk standards.

Key responsibilities

• Processing domestic and international payments.
• Ensuring all transactions are completed accurately and in accordance with bank policies and procedures.
• Reconciling and processing inward and outward payments within required timeframes.
• Providing regulatory reports accurately and on schedule.
• Delivering internal and external customer service consistent with ANZ strategies.
• Reviewing and improving processes to eliminate unnecessary steps.

Required profile

• Knowledge of domestic and international payment processing (inward and outward).
• Experience in reconciliation, settlement, and payment processing with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
• Proven ability to conduct internal and external case investigations.
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of operational risk and compliance policies and procedures.
• Effective time‑management to meet cut‑off times and service level requirements.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
