Project Coordinator – Climate‑Smart Agriculture

About the role

World Vision International Lao PDR is seeking a Project Coordinator to lead climate‑smart agricultural initiatives in Soukhoumma District, Champasak Province. The role focuses on enhancing economic resilience, promoting inclusive markets, and empowering women and marginalized groups.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor project activities, ensuring alignment with GEDSI and child protection protocols.
• Mobilize local resources and facilitate community participation in development initiatives.
• Coordinate with WEE/iMSD and ESCA specialists for activity planning, budgeting, and financial settlement.
• Track activity indicators, produce regular progress reports, and ensure quality implementation using required tools.
• Build capacity of government counterparts and conduct monitoring visits with district partners.
• Liaise with project team, technical specialists, and MEL staff to consolidate data and meet donor requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in rural development, agriculture, social studies or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in rural community development and community mobilization.
• Experience collaborating with district governments and facilitating training for volunteers and partners.
• Fluent in Lao; English proficiency and knowledge of ethnic languages are an advantage.
• Strong organizational abilities, independent work capacity, and willingness to travel frequently to remote villages.
• Valid motorcycle license and ability to ride for field visits.
