Project Coordinator

About the role

The Project Coordinator will work within the BASIN projects to enhance economic resilience through climate‑smart agricultural practices and inclusive market development in Soukouma District, Champasak Province, Laos.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure project implementation and management, integrating GEDSI and child protection protocols.
• Mobilize local resources, facilitate community participation, and monitor activities against plans and indicators.
• Coordinate with technical specialists, government counterparts, and the MEL team to track progress and produce required reports.
• Support capacity building for government partners and conduct regular monitoring visits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in rural development, agriculture, social studies or a related field.
• 3–5 years experience in rural community development and collaboration with district governments.
• Fluent in Lao (knowledge of ethnic languages a plus) and good English communication skills.
• Strong organizational abilities, independent work capacity, and willingness to travel frequently to remote villages.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to ride and hold a motorcycle license.
