Project Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Project Officer to lead the implementation of the “Promoting Nurturing Care in Laos to Advance Child‑Sensitive Social Protection” pilot in Nga District, Oudomxay Province. The role will coordinate community‑based activities, support mothers receiving cash transfers, and ensure the integration of parenting education, nutrition and budgeting interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Implement district‑level project activities according to approved plans, budgets and timelines.
• Facilitate parenting and behavior‑change sessions on nurturing care, child development, nutrition and family budgeting.
• Train and mentor community facilitators, health workers and partners, promoting the Nurturing Care Framework.
• Coordinate with government authorities, health facilities and local stakeholders, integrating project work into existing systems.
• Collect, verify and report project data; monitor progress against indicators and support MEAL activities.
• Assist with activity planning, budgeting, procurement and logistics while ensuring donor compliance.
• Uphold safeguarding standards, promote gender equality and social inclusion, and report any concerns.

Required profile

• Understanding of Child Safeguarding Policy, Code of Conduct and local procedures.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to humanitarian emergencies.
• Experience in community‑based project implementation and stakeholder coordination.
• Ability to produce accurate reports and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
