Resource Development and Strategic Partnerships Director

About the role

World Vision International Lao PDR is looking for a Director of Resource Development and Strategic Partnerships for its National Office in Vientiane Capital. The Director is the growth engine of the organisation, building a strong funding pipeline, embedding sustainable grants acquisition and management systems, strengthening donor and partner relationships and advancing the organisation's positioning. Working through a small team and as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the role combines direction-setting, hands-on delivery and developing people, systems and culture.

Key responsibilities

• Own the funding pipeline and annual acquisition plan, including donor mapping, market analysis, opportunity forecasting and capture planning
• Develop and improve the resource development strategy, and lead bid teams, concept notes, proposals and Go/No-Go decisions
• Build strategic relationships with institutional donors, UN agencies, government counterparts, civil society and private-sector partners, and represent the office in donor meetings and partnership forums
• Design and embed end-to-end grants acquisition and management systems, with clear roles, workflows, quality standards and accountability
• Provide the National Director and Senior Leadership Team with analysis of pipeline health, funding performance, market trends and risks
• Keep accurate acquisition and grants data in Horizon and other required systems, and champion safeguarding, integrity, risk management and donor compliance
• Coordinate Programme Quality, Operations, Finance, Support Services, People and Culture, Communications, Advocacy and field teams through design, acquisition, start-up, implementation support and closeout
• Lead, coach and develop the Resource Development and Grants Management team, including succession planning for key roles such as Communications Lead and grants acquisition
