Team Leader, Lending, Markets & Trade Operations

About the role

As a Team Leader for Lending, Markets and Trade Operations you will lead a high‑performing team to ensure accurate, timely and compliant processing of lending, trade finance, treasury and regulatory reporting activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage lending, trade and markets operations, including credit administration, security management and portfolio monitoring.
• Oversee trade finance activities such as letters of credit, collections, guarantees and bonds.
• Support treasury operations through deal settlements, FX earnings monitoring, rate management and reconciliations.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of regulatory reports.
• Maintain strong controls, manage non‑financial risks and ensure compliance with ANZ policies and regulatory requirements.
• Coach, develop and motivate the operations team while fostering a risk‑aware, customer‑focused culture.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in banking operations across lending, trade finance and markets.
• Strong knowledge of international banking, trade finance products, payment systems and settlement practices.
• Understanding of local banking regulations, risk management and compliance requirements.
• Proven leadership experience with ability to build and develop high‑performing teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of credit risk principles and regulatory reporting.
• Experience with operational risk and compliance frameworks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
