Auto Electrical Technical Trainer

About the role

Phu Bia Mining Limited, a Lao-registered company 90 per cent owned by PanAust Limited, is looking for an Auto Electrical Technical Trainer to join its preventive and breakdown maintenance team for a large mobile mining fleet. Reporting to the Senior Mobile Maintenance Specialist, you will lead the safe and productive mobile equipment maintenance department, covering maintenance planning, tooling, work practices, workplace cleanliness, staff development and discipline.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality training and training modules to tradespeople on auto electrical topics
• Ensure the delivery and development of the Trades Apprenticeship Program to Phu Bia Mining standards
• Supervise and manage apprentices and site employees during daily training, identify areas for improvement and help meet targets
• Plan and organise training and communicate it to site supervisors
• Deliver training in classrooms and on site as directed for local employees
• Help develop the design, curriculum, training packages and facilities, and mentor tradesmen on the job
• Conduct tradesmen assessments

Required profile

• Auto electrical trade trainer qualification
• Proven trades training experience, including apprentice training
• Background in auto electrical maintenance on heavy mining and earthmoving equipment
• Good knowledge of training and development systems and processes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong sense of initiative
