Director of Sales

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Director of Sales to lead the sales strategy of the Avani Lanexang Vientiane Hotel. The role will drive revenue across corporate, government, MICE, leisure and events segments, ensuring the hotel meets its budgeted targets while enhancing market share.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the annual sales and business development strategy.
• Achieve budgeted room, banquet and ancillary revenue targets.
• Identify new market opportunities and conduct regular market analysis.
• Collaborate with Revenue Management to optimise pricing and distribution.
• Build and maintain relationships with corporate accounts, government agencies, travel partners and event organisers.
• Negotiate contracts to maximise profitability.
• Lead, coach and develop the sales team, monitoring productivity and providing performance feedback.
• Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows and networking activities.
• Prepare sales plans, budgets, forecasts and present performance updates to senior management.
• Work closely with Marketing, Operations and Finance to align commercial strategies.
