Field Project Coordinator

About the role

The Field Project Coordinator will support the implementation of IOM’s migration‑related programmes in Oudomxay Province, Lao PDR. Reporting to the National Project Officer and the Senior Project Assistant, the role involves frequent field travel and direct interaction with provincial ministries, district authorities, village leaders and project beneficiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Act as IOM’s focal point for capacity‑building and prevention activities in the assigned province.
• Assist the project team with day‑to‑day implementation, including logistical coordination with IOM offices, government agencies and NGOs.
• Prepare and translate project documents such as invitation letters, terms of reference and reports in both English and Lao.
• Maintain and update the partnership database and case‑tracking data, ensuring accurate records of activities and beneficiaries.
• Facilitate community outreach, monitoring and reporting to ensure interventions meet the needs of vulnerable migrants, women, children and returnees.

Required profile

• Under the overall supervision of the National Project Officer and direct supervision of the Senior Project Assistant.
• Willingness to travel regularly to remote field sites and work with diverse stakeholder groups.
• Strong communication skills in English and Lao.
