Finance Manager (GPE-STG Project)

About the role

The Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES) is implementing the GPE‑STG Foundational Learning Improvement Project in Laos. Save the Children, as the grant agent, is seeking a Finance Manager to lead financial management of the project portfolio based in Vientiane.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting and monitoring for the GPE‑STG‑FLIP portfolio, ensuring compliance with SCI, GPE and Lao government regulations.
• Prepare annual and quarterly financial plans and budgets in coordination with program and operations teams.
• Provide variance analysis, explanations and recommendations to senior management.
• Support MoES finance teams with capacity building, internal controls and grant delivery guidance.
• Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions and maintain robust internal controls.
• Oversee adherence to the Child Safeguarding Policy and related codes of conduct.
