GT Channel Manager – General Trade (Laos)

About the role

Unilever is seeking a commercially driven GT Channel Manager to lead channel growth and execution excellence in the Laos market. You will translate strategic category plans into actionable initiatives, working closely with cross‑functional teams to boost sales, market share and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute General Trade channel strategies for Laos.
• Convert category growth plans into channel initiatives that drive sell‑in, sell‑out, distribution and profitability.
• Monitor channel performance metrics and identify growth opportunities.
• Manage trade investments (BMI, Trade Terms Spending) to ensure ROI and budget compliance.
• Partner with Category, CSP, CD Excellence and Field Sales teams to implement plans.
• Drive Perfect Store implementation, promotional activations and in‑store visibility programs.
• Analyse sales data, shopper insights, competitor activity and market trends to inform decisions.
• Leverage digital and data‑driven tools to improve channel effectiveness.
• Build future‑ready capabilities and champion continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in Trade Marketing, Channel Management, Sales or a related FMCG commercial role.
• Strong understanding of General Trade dynamics and route‑to‑market strategies.
• Proven track record of developing and executing channel plans that deliver results.
• Commercial and financial acumen with experience managing trade budgets.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work across functions and influence without authority.
