GT Channel Manager – Laos

About the role

Unilever is seeking a commercially‑driven GT Channel Manager to lead channel growth and execution excellence in the Laos market. The role will translate strategic plans into actionable initiatives, working closely with cross‑functional teams to boost sales, market share and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute General Trade channel strategies for Laos, aligning with category growth plans.
• Translate growth objectives into channel initiatives that drive sell‑in, sell‑out, distribution and profitability.
• Monitor channel performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Manage trade investments, including BMI and Trade Terms Spending, ensuring ROI and budget compliance.
• Collaborate with Category, CSP, CD Excellence and Field Sales teams to implement plans.
• Drive execution excellence through Perfect Store implementation, promotional activations and in‑store visibility programmes.
• Analyse sales data, shopper insights, competitor activity and market trends to inform decisions.
• Leverage digital and data‑driven tools to enhance channel effectiveness and champion continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in Trade Marketing, Channel Management, Sales or a related FMCG commercial role.
• Strong understanding of General Trade channel dynamics and route‑to‑market strategies.
• Proven track record of developing and executing channel plans that deliver business results.
• Commercial and financial acumen with experience managing trade investments and budgets.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to work across multiple functions and influence without authority.
• Growth mindset, strong ownership and a passion for winning in the marketplace.
