About the role
Appen is looking for native Lao speakers in Laos to help teach AI to understand natural, everyday Lao speech. This is a short, project-based voice recording task with CrowdGen, where you work from home as an independent contractor.
Key responsibilities
- Record 250 short sentences in Lao using the Appen Task app.
- Speak clearly and naturally in your native Lao accent.
- Record in a quiet environment such as a bedroom.
- Complete the session in about one hour.
Required profile
- Native Lao speaker currently living in Laos.
- Smartphone compatible with the Appen Task app.
- Ability to follow instructions in English.
What we offer
- Paid at $0.05 per sentence, up to $12.50 USD for the full session (about 1 hour).
- Fully remote work from home.
If selected, you will receive an email from CrowdGen about creating an account with your application email, then log in, reset the password, finish the setup and apply for the project.
