Production Team Leader – Operations

About the role

The Production Team Leader (Team Leader 1) is responsible for leading a group of employees in daily manufacturing operations at our Savannakhet facility. Reporting to a first‑level manager, the role ensures on‑time, quality production while adhering to budget and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive the daily production schedule and material releases from planning and logistics.
• Coordinate materials, personnel, equipment and other resources to achieve on‑time, quality production within budget.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the production process.
• Manage controllable operating expenditures such as scrap and consumables.
• Guide teams in continuous‑improvement initiatives and process optimisation.
• Conduct return‑to‑work interviews and first‑level disciplinary hearings promptly and consistently.
• Provide input for employee performance, compensation reviews and recommend disciplinary actions when necessary.

Required profile

• Knowledge of production processes, tools and equipment.
• Understanding of how decisions affect customer satisfaction, product quality, on‑time delivery and profitability.
• Ability to coordinate diverse resources to meet quality and quantity metrics.
• Familiarity with ISO standards and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Effective communication with internal and external customers.
• Leadership capability to train, motivate and manage a diverse workforce in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Experience using Lotus applications.
