Program Manager – Eye Health (Vientiane)

About the role

The Fred Hollows Foundation, in partnership with the Cure Blindness Project, is seeking a Program Manager to lead eye‑health programmes in Lao PDR. Based in Vientiane, you will coordinate planning, implementation and monitoring of initiatives that aim to reduce avoidable blindness and strengthen health systems.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate programme planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting against agreed priorities, timelines, budgets and outcomes.
• Oversee programme budgets, donor reporting, safeguarding, risk management and compliance.
• Manage relationships with government agencies, implementing partners, donors, NGOs and other stakeholders.
• Support the development of new projects, proposals and funding opportunities aligned with country priorities.
• Facilitate collaboration across FHF, CBP and partner teams to improve coordination and share learning.
• Strengthen the capacity of programme teams and partners through coaching, accountability mechanisms and technical support.
• Represent FHF and CBP in meetings, forums and technical working groups.

Required profile

• Minimum five years’ experience in programme or project management within international development, public health or a related sector.
• Proven experience managing donor‑funded programmes, including implementation, monitoring, reporting and compliance.
• Experience working with government bodies, partners and NGOs in complex environments.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate teams and support programme staff.
• A relevant bachelor’s degree with strong programme management and budgeting skills.
