Video Editor (Social Media & YouTube)

About the role

A U.S.-based law firm that uses digital marketing, social media and educational video content to reach its audience is hiring a creative, detail-oriented Video Editor. You will work closely with the Marketing Manager to turn raw footage into polished short-form clips and longer videos featuring legal professionals, helping the firm publish on-brand, informative content for social media and YouTube.

Key responsibilities

• Edit Instagram Reels, TikToks and YouTube Shorts with captions, music and on-screen text, with strong openings and tight pacing
• Format each video for its platform (aspect ratio, length, safe zones)
• Edit longer YouTube videos and webinar recordings, and repurpose them into multiple short clips
• Create simple motion graphics, lower thirds and branded intros and outros
• Follow brand guidelines and templates; ensure edits stay faithful to what attorneys say and submit legal content for attorney review
• Work from the Marketing Manager's content calendar and shared task board, give feedback on framing, audio and lighting, and organize project files
• Use AI tools to streamline transcription, captioning and rough cuts

Required profile

• Candidate must reside in Latin America; CV must be in English
• Portfolio showing short-form social media editing (Reels, TikTok or YouTube Shorts)
• Strong understanding of pacing, hooks and storytelling for social media
• Comfortable using AI editing tools for captions, transcription and rough cuts
• Preferred: motion graphics with After Effects or similar, and editing of talking-head videos

Required skills

• Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve or CapCut
• Solid audio cleanup and basic color correction
• Strong English comprehension and organization skills
