Wet Lab Chemist – Laboratory Operations (Vientiane)

About the role

ALS is looking for a motivated Wet Lab Chemist to join its Vientiane laboratory team. You will support mineral analysis activities by applying wet‑chemistry techniques and maintaining high‑quality laboratory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Handle, weigh, and test liquid samples using wet chemistry methods.
• Operate high‑temperature furnaces, centrifuges, and spectrometers for sample preparation and analysis.
• Prepare chemical reagents and solutions according to standard protocols.
• Record experimental results in lab notebooks or digital systems, ensuring strict protocol compliance.
• Follow safety regulations when handling hazardous materials.
• Clean, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Assist in ordering laboratory supplies and managing inventory.

Required profile

• Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Recent graduate; women are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Competent English communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational ability, and teamwork orientation.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety and quality‑control standards.
• Willingness to work in shift rotations.
