Business Development Specialist – WASH Programs

About the role

The Business Development Specialist will drive the creation of proposals for new WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) programming opportunities, supporting World Vision International Laos (WVI Laos) growth and impact for vulnerable children.

Key responsibilities

• Develop concept notes and full proposals in collaboration with Operations and Programme teams.
• Generate leads, conduct business research, and map donors to identify funding opportunities.
• Coordinate proposal packaging, ensuring quality reviews and compliance with donor evaluation standards.
• Liaise with Support Offices and Regional Grant Acquisition focal points on policy, reporting and strategic alignment.
• Maintain accurate GAM data in iMPAQ and keep all acquisition documentation up‑to‑date.

Required profile

• Experience in resource development, donor mapping and grant acquisition, preferably in the humanitarian sector.
• Strong understanding of WASH programming and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills to represent WVI Laos externally and maintain donor relationships.
