Finance and Corporate Operations Officer

About the role

ESL Company Limited is looking for a dependable Finance and Corporate Operations Officer to support financial management and operational administration across its environmental and social consulting projects in Lao PDR. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, managing invoicing and payments, and assisting with administrative and HR functions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain complete and accurate records of operating and project expenses, income, receipts and payments.
• Record transactions using correct company and project codes, perform bank and cash reconciliations and ensure a clear audit trail.
• Prepare budgets and cost estimates for field assignments and track field advances, reimbursements and settlements.
• Produce budget‑versus‑actual summaries and ensure timely financial closure of projects.
• Support monthly and annual account closing, preparing financial schedules and reports for the Division Head.
• Prepare and submit client invoices, follow up outstanding payments and maintain receivables registers.
• Verify invoices from consultants and suppliers, prepare payment documentation and handle banking administration including cheque preparation, deposits and transfers.

• Detail‑oriented, organized and proactive finance professional.
• Committed to accuracy, accountability and maintaining robust internal controls.
• Ability to work independently and support field teams with financial administration.
