Programme Associate – Emergency Preparedness & Response

About the role

The World Food Programme is seeking a Programme Associate to support emergency preparedness and response activities in Lao PDR. The role focuses on planning, implementing, coordinating, monitoring and reporting efforts that strengthen national disaster readiness and improve assistance delivery for affected communities.

Key responsibilities

• Support the planning, implementation and coordination of emergency preparedness and response programmes.
• Monitor and report on programme activities, outcomes and lessons learned.
• Collaborate with government counterparts, local authorities, UN agencies, NGOs and development partners.
• Contribute to strengthening national disaster preparedness, response readiness and cash‑based transfer programmes.
• Assist in capacity‑building initiatives to enhance resilience of disaster‑affected communities.
