Medical Interpreter (Remote, Full-time)

About the role

The Medical Interpreter role is a full‑time remote position supporting communication between healthcare professionals and patients with limited English proficiency. You will work through GLOBO’s platform, delivering accurate interpretation across multiple channels.

Key responsibilities

• Provide real‑time interpreting via telephone, video remote, and other modalities.
• Ensure correct usage of medical terminology during all interactions.
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with HIPAA standards.

Required profile

• Proficiency in medical interpretation and strong knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience interpreting and translating in a healthcare setting.
• Skilled in simultaneous interpretation techniques.
• Certificate or training in medical interpretation (preferred).
• Fluency in English and at least one additional language.
• Ability to work efficiently and independently in a remote environment.
• Familiarity with confidentiality standards and HIPAA compliance is an asset.
