Remote Lao Interpreter – Night Shift (100% Work From Home)

About the role

This position is for a Lao‑English interpreter working entirely from home in Laos. The role focuses on consecutive interpretation for live conversations such as doctor‑patient, banker‑client, and other professional interactions, primarily during night‑time shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Provide accurate consecutive interpretation between Lao and English for telephone or video calls on demand.
• Handle a variety of topics, including healthcare, finance, government, insurance, travel, emergency services, and general business.
• Maintain neutrality, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity throughout each interaction.

Required profile

• Excellent listening, note‑taking, and retention abilities to ensure high accuracy.
• Ability to stay detached, neutral, and objective while interpreting.
• B2 CEFR English level and native or bilingual proficiency in Lao.
• Capacity to work permanently from home and meet a minimum of 40 online hours per week.
