About the role
Save the Children is seeking a Senior Award Officer to be based in Vientiane Capital. The role will lead award management and donor compliance across all programmes, ensuring high‑quality delivery and adherence to Save the Children standards.
Key responsibilities
- Uphold Country Office Award Management and Donor Compliance (AMDC) principles throughout the award life‑cycle for SCI and partners.
- Provide capacity‑building and on‑the‑job support to SCI staff and partners on AMDC processes.
- Maintain and update the Award Management System (AMS) to ensure accurate, high‑quality data.
- Vet sub‑grant partners legally and assess their capacity before and during partnerships.
- Support technical and field teams during implementation to deliver donor‑compliant awards and timely reports.
- Collaborate with the Head of Awards and senior management to develop best‑practice systems and regional processes.
Required profile
- Strong understanding of donor compliance, grant management and humanitarian programming.
- Experience in capacity‑building, legal vetting and partnership monitoring.
- Ability to work under pressure, including during major humanitarian emergencies.
- Commitment to Child Safeguarding Policy, Code of Conduct and local procedures.
Required skills
- Award Management System (AMS) proficiency
