Wet Lab Chemist (Lao National Only)

About the role

ALS is an international laboratory group with operations in Vientiane and Pakse in Laos and Phnom Penh in Cambodia, responsible for mineral analysis. It is looking for a Wet Lab Chemist to join its Vientiane office. The position is open only to Lao nationals.

Key responsibilities

• Handle, weigh and test liquid samples using wet chemistry methods
• Use equipment such as high-temperature furnaces, centrifuges and spectrometers
• Create chemical reagents and solutions
• Document results in lab notebooks or digital systems, following strict protocols
• Handle hazardous materials and follow safety regulations
• Clean and calibrate lab equipment, maintain it and help order laboratory supplies

Required profile

• Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related field
• Fresh graduate; women are encouraged to apply
• Competent English (candidates with good English receive special attention)
• Ability to work in shifts
• Eligibility: citizen or permanent resident of the country of application, or hold or be able to obtain a valid working visa
