Assistant Manager, Regional Implementation

About the role

The Assistant Manager, Regional Implementation will support the planning, coordination and delivery of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities across the assigned region in Laos. Working closely with the Program Delivery and Sustainability Manager, government partners, Teacher Training Colleges and BEQUAL colleagues, the role ensures high‑quality, gender‑responsive implementation aligned with child safeguarding standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support planning, budgeting, monitoring and reporting for BEQUAL‑supported activities, ensuring alignment with program objectives and inclusive GEDSI practices.
• Assist Teacher Training Colleges, PESS, DESBs and schools in the design, implementation and monitoring of CPD activities for teachers and educators.
• Coordinate and manage CPD Support Grants, including documentation, monitoring and financial acquittal at central and sub‑national levels.
• Provide logistical and facilitation support for workshops, meetings and other program events with MoES and relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Implementation Coordinators, Operations staff and government counterparts to ensure effective budget execution and compliance.

Required profile

• Experience in education programme implementation, preferably within a development or government context.
• Strong understanding of gender‑responsive, inclusive and child safeguarding principles.
• Excellent coordination and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
