Finance Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager

About the role

People Partners Laos is looking for an experienced Finance Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager to lead financial control, strategic planning and performance across its manufacturing operations in Laos. You will act as a key strategic partner to the Plant Managing Director and regional leadership, overseeing the full FP&A life‑cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation, consolidation and presentation of Mid‑Term Plans, Annual Budgets, quarterly re‑forecasts and rolling 3‑month forecasts.
• Control manufacturing cost evolution, track actuals versus forecasts and deliver root‑cause variance analysis.
• Partner with the Plant Managing Director and cross‑functional heads to drive cost savings, plant performance improvements and transformation projects.
• Prepare annual Standard Costs and Transfer Prices, supervise costing simulations and conduct product/plant benchmarking.
• Support financial IT transformation, including migration from Oracle to SAP and use of IBM Cognos TM1.
• Evaluate investment proposals, monitor capital expenditures and coordinate inventory optimisation with Supply Chain and Purchasing.
• Lead and develop the local FP&A team while ensuring compliance with Group finance controls, policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of FP&A experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a management or team‑lead role.
• Strong analytical accuracy, strategic mindset and proven ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of activity‑based costing and general accounting principles.
• Advanced MS Excel proficiency.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle).
• Experience with planning tools such as IBM Cognos TM1 and Hyperion.
