Financial Management Consultant

About the role

The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) in Lao PDR is seeking a Financial Management Consultant to support its finance team during a three‑month period (October‑December 2026). Working closely with the Finance Manager, Senior Accountant and Finance Officer, the consultant will help ensure accurate financial operations across multiple donor‑funded projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Finance Manager with day‑to‑day financial processes, including accounting and transaction processing.
• Support preparation of donor and management reports, ensuring compliance with donor requirements.
• Monitor budgets, perform cost allocation, and review payroll for accuracy.
• Contribute to audit preparation and conduct account reconciliations.
• Provide technical input to improve financial reporting, budget monitoring and overall financial accountability.

Required profile

• Professional experience in financial management, preferably within nonprofit or donor‑funded environments.
• Familiarity with financial reporting, budget monitoring, cost allocation and payroll review.
• Ability to work collaboratively with finance staff and program teams.
