Hotel General Manager – Overseas Property

About the role

Echeng Hotel Management is seeking an experienced Hotel General Manager to take full ownership of an overseas property, guiding it from pre‑opening through launch and steady‑state operations. You will build and lead a cross‑cultural team, interpret the local market, and ensure the brand delivers its service standards on the ground.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the entire property lifecycle: pre‑opening, launch, and day‑to‑day operations.
• Conduct in‑depth market analysis and develop competitive business plans.
• Recruit, train, and manage a multicultural team while maintaining brand service standards.
• Maintain relationships with local authorities, partners, and guests; handle incidents and crisis communications.
• Ensure full compliance with local regulations and corporate policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of operations management experience with a chain hotel group.
• Strong cross‑cultural communication, business acumen, and leadership abilities.
• Proven decision‑making skills, conflict resolution, and team motivation in diverse environments.
• Willingness to commit to long‑term overseas assignments and thrive under pressure.

Required skills

• Working proficiency in Chinese.
• Proficiency in English (or additional languages) is a plus.
