Lao Interpreter – Remote (Night Shift)

About the role

We are looking for a bilingual Lao‑English interpreter to provide consecutive interpretation from a home office in Laos. The position is 100% remote and operates on a night‑shift schedule, with flexible start times between 7 pm and 3 am.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver consecutive interpretation for live conversations such as doctor‑patient, banker‑client, and other professional interactions.
• Handle telephone or video calls on demand, interpreting accurately in real time.
• Interpret across a wide range of sectors, including healthcare, finance, government, insurance, utilities, travel, emergency services, law enforcement, and general business.
• Maintain neutrality, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity throughout all assignments.

Required profile

• Excellent listening, retention, and note‑taking abilities.
• Ability to stay detached, neutral, and objective during conversations.
• B2 level English (CEFR) and native fluency in Lao.
• Willingness to work permanently from home and meet a minimum of 40 hours online per week.
