About the role
We are seeking a Lao‑English interpreter to work remotely from Laos, providing consecutive interpretation for a variety of sectors including healthcare, finance, government and emergency services. The role is 100% night shift with flexible start times.
Key responsibilities
- Interpret live conversations between doctors, patients, bankers, clients and other professionals.
- Handle telephone or video calls on demand, delivering accurate consecutive interpretation.
- Explain cultural concepts when required to avoid miscommunication.
Required profile
- Native Lao speaker with C1‑level English proficiency (bilingual).
- Excellent listening, note‑taking and retention skills.
- Ability to stay neutral, objective and maintain confidentiality.
Required skills
- Proficiency in consecutive interpretation techniques.
- Familiarity with industry terminology across healthcare, finance, government, emergency services and general business.
