Remote Lao Interpreter (Work From Home)

About the role

We are seeking a professional Lao‑English interpreter to provide consecutive interpretation for a variety of live conversations, including medical, financial and general business interactions. The position is 100% remote and based in Laos, with night‑shift hours that rotate monthly.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver accurate consecutive interpretation for telephone or video calls across sectors such as healthcare, finance, government, insurance, travel, emergency services and law enforcement.
• Maintain neutrality, confidentiality and cultural sensitivity throughout each interaction.
• Follow client instructions precisely and explain cultural concepts when required.
• Work a minimum of 40 online hours per week, typically 8‑hour night shifts.

Required profile

• Bilingual proficiency in Lao and English (minimum B2 CEFR level).
• Excellent listening, retention and note‑taking abilities.
• Strong concentration, objectivity and the capacity to establish credibility quickly.
• Ability to work permanently from home in Laos.

Required skills

• Consecutive interpretation techniques.
• Familiarity with industry terminology across multiple sectors.
