Remote Lao Interpreter (Work From Home)

About the role

We are looking for a native Lao speaker to provide remote consecutive interpretation between Lao and English. The position is fully home‑based in Laos and operates on a rotating night‑shift schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret live conversations (e.g., doctor‑patient, banker‑client) via telephone or video calls in a consecutive mode.
• Maintain high accuracy by taking notes, retaining information and delivering neutral, objective translations.
• Explain cultural nuances when requested by the client to avoid miscommunication.
• Handle a variety of topics, including healthcare, finance, government, insurance, travel, emergency services and general business.

Required profile

• Native Lao nationality with fluency in English (minimum B2 CEFR).
• Excellent listening, retention and note‑taking abilities.
• Ability to work independently from home on a permanent basis.
• Availability for 8‑hour night shifts, covering any start time between 7 pm and 3 am, totaling at least 40 hours per week.

Required skills

• Consecutive interpretation proficiency.

What we offer

• Monthly basic salary up to USD 1,610.
• Fully remote work with flexible shift start times.
