Remote Lao Interpreter (Work From Home)

About the role

We are seeking a professional Lao‑English interpreter to work remotely from Laos. The position involves providing consecutive interpretation for a variety of live conversations, including medical, financial, and general business contexts.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver accurate consecutive interpretation during telephone or video calls.
• Handle conversations across sectors such as healthcare, finance, government, insurance, travel, and emergency services.
• Maintain neutrality, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity throughout all interactions.
• Explain cultural concepts when requested by the client to avoid miscommunication.

Required profile

• Bilingual proficiency in Lao and English (minimum B2 CEFR level in English).
• Excellent listening, retention, and note‑taking abilities.
• Strong concentration and the capacity to remain objective.
• Ability to work night‑shift hours (any start time between 7 pm and 3 am) for a minimum of 40 online hours per week.
