Assistant Finance Manager – Laos

About the role

The Assistant Finance Manager will be the core finance resource for Acclime Laos, overseeing day‑to‑day finance and accounting operations. Reporting to the Regional Finance Controller, the role ensures accurate, timely and compliant financial processes while acting as a business partner to the Country Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage daily finance and accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries, bank transactions and cash‑flow management.
• Maintain accurate accounting records in Xero and perform bank, balance‑sheet, inter‑company and other key reconciliations.
• Lead the month‑end closing process, ensuring all accruals, provisions, reconciliations and adjustments are completed on time.
• Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely payment of personal income tax, social security and other payroll obligations.
• Prepare and submit VAT, WHT, PIT and other tax filings in compliance with Lao PDR regulations.
• Manage local and overseas payments, banking activities and cash‑flow forecasts to support liquidity management.
• Support external audits, statutory reviews and other finance‑related assessments.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of finance and accounting operations, including month‑end closing and cash‑flow management.
• Familiarity with Lao PDR tax and statutory compliance requirements.
• Experience working with finance systems and preparing financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
