Finance Officer

About the role

The Finance Officer will support World Vision International’s BASIN projects in Soukouma District, Champasak Province, ensuring day‑to‑day finance and accounting operations run smoothly. The role focuses on cash management, staff payments, supplier processing, and compliance with both World Vision standards and Lao statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve cash advances and settlements, ensuring correct T‑codes and chart‑of‑accounts alignment.
• Prepare and post General Cash Vouchers (GCV), General Debit Vouchers (GDV) and General Journal Vouchers (GJV) in Sun Systems.
• Ensure field staff settlements are completed within seven working days according to the FFM manual.
• Process medical claims, supplier invoices, and purchase requisitions using Coupa, verifying compliance with World Vision requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of original vouchers and support monthly accrual reviews.
• Collaborate with provincial and national finance teams to provide financial guidance for project decisions.

Required profile

• Experience in finance or accounting within an international or non‑profit setting.
• Familiarity with World Vision partnership standards and local statutory financial regulations.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across provincial and national offices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight settlement timelines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the GEMS financial system.
• Experience using Sun Systems for voucher processing.
• Hands‑on knowledge of Coupa procurement and invoice management.
