Finance Officer

About the role

The Finance Officer will support the BASIN projects in Soukouma District, Champasak Province, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day finance and accounting operations. This role works closely with provincial and national teams to manage cash, payments, and supplier processes while complying with World Vision standards and Lao statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve cash advances and settlements, ensuring correct T‑codes and posting to Sun Systems.
• Prepare and follow up on GCV, GDV and GJV vouchers, attaching original documents.
• Ensure field staff settlements are processed within 7 working days according to the FFM manual.
• Review staff medical claims and coordinate payments with the National Finance Coordinator.
• Validate purchase requisitions in Coupa, checking T‑codes and compliance with World Vision requirements.
• Prepare supplier invoices in Coupa, preventing duplicate submissions and managing PO back‑splits.
• Conduct monthly reviews of accruing transactions submitted by the P2P team.

Required profile

• Experience in day‑to‑day finance and accounting operations within development or humanitarian projects.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders at provincial and national levels.
• Knowledge of local statutory financial requirements and World Vision partnership standards.
