Senior Accounts Officer

About the role

The Senior Accounts Officer will deliver end‑to‑end accounting, bookkeeping, and tax compliance services for Acclime’s clients in Lao PDR. The role strengthens local technical capability and ensures timely, accurate financial reporting and statutory filings.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, configure, and maintain client accounting records using cloud accounting platforms and local software such as BansiLa and APIS.
• Perform data entry, prepare finalized financial statements, monthly management reports, and cash‑flow statements.
• Maintain charts of accounts, manage accounts payable and receivable, and reconcile balances.
• Analyse financial information, highlight trends, and present reports to clients.
• Ensure 100% on‑time delivery of monthly accounting deliverables and statutory filing deadlines.
• Coordinate annual audit requirements and support statutory reporting.
• Manage all tax matters (PIT, CIT, VAT, WHT) and liaise with banks, tax offices, and authorities.
• Provide proactive client support, prepare progress reports, and manage an assigned portfolio of engagements.
• Collaborate with the Regional Finance Manager and Country Manager on process improvements, licensing, and government relations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and tax compliance within a corporate or service‑provider environment.
• Strong understanding of Lao PDR regulatory requirements and statutory filing obligations.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, tax authorities, and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple client portfolios while meeting strict deadlines.
