National consultant to support training of Lao Youth Union hotline staff

About the role

UNICEF Lao PDR is seeking a national consultant to develop and deliver a training programme for the Lao Youth Union (LYU) hotline staff. The assignment lasts six months and is home‑based, with training sessions conducted in Vientiane.

Key responsibilities

• Review existing LYU Hotline guidelines, SOPs, social‑behavior change manual, life‑skills manual and international best practices.
• Develop a comprehensive training package, including PowerPoint presentations and a facilitator’s guide.
• Conduct the training workshop for LYU hotline staff in Vientiane.
• Create supplementary training materials such as short instructional videos (in partnership with a UNICEF‑contracted video producer) and a one‑page FAQ document.

Required profile

• Ability to work under the supervision of the Child Protection Specialist and collaborate closely with the Child Protection Officer.
• Experience in designing and delivering training programmes, preferably in child protection or youth services.
• Familiarity with UNICEF guidelines and child protection standards.
