Director of Sales - MICE and Leisure

About the role

The Director of Sales operates within the framework defined by the chain and hotel norms, promoting the property in the assigned territory to achieve optimal sales under the best possible conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Plans, directs and evaluates the hotel’s Sales & Marketing activities, including room sales, catering & convention sales and food & beverage promotions to maximize profit potential.
• Directs the development of effective public relations, advertising and promotional campaigns using a variety of media, including digital marketing.
• Plans and manages the financial operations of the Sales & Marketing division to ensure cost‑effectiveness and optimal resource utilization.
• Evaluates changes in guest needs, guest mix and the competitive set to recommend appropriate product, service and operational adjustments.

Required profile

• Minimum of 6 years’ experience with a proven track record in sales management.
• Experience in MICE and leisure segments.
• Demonstrated previous sales success.
• Strong motivational, innovative and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven leadership capability to influence, develop and empower team members.
• Financial management skills.
• Strategic planning skills (asset).
• Excellent English proficiency.
