Human Resources Generalist

About the role

The HR Generalist will be the single point of contact for Goldwind’s operations in Laos, ensuring compliance with local labour, tax, social security and immigration regulations for both local and foreign staff.

Key responsibilities

• Manage employment contracts, employee lifecycle documentation and labour relations in line with Lao labour law.
• Coordinate payroll processing, personal income tax declarations and statutory social security contributions.
• Handle work permits, visas, residence cards and immigration procedures for expatriate employees.
• Support recruitment of technical staff, including candidate screening, interview coordination and hiring documentation.
• Maintain corporate documentation, licensing procedures and regulatory submissions.
• Implement HR policies and advise on compensation, benefits and employee entitlements.
• Maintain accurate HR records, prepare reports and support daily HR operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Human Resources or related field.
• 3–5 years HR generalist experience in Laos, preferably in FDI, energy, construction or industrial companies.
• Strong knowledge of Lao Labour Law, Social Security Law, Income Tax Law and immigration procedures.
• Native Lao language, good written and spoken English (B2); Chinese or Vietnamese a plus.
• High integrity, confidentiality and willingness to travel to remote wind farm sites.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with HRIS systems.
• Hands‑on experience in payroll, social security and work‑permit administration.
• Strong network with Lao authorities.
