Mechanical Engineer – Turbine Maintenance

About the role

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and repairing turbine mechanical equipment and auxiliary systems in a hydro‑power plant. Working under the Turbine Engineering team leader, the role ensures safe, reliable, and economical plant operation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily, weekly, monthly and yearly maintenance tasks (PM, CM, IM, MOC) including shutdowns and outages.
• Lead installation, troubleshooting, and repair of turbine mechanical, hydraulic, and auxiliary equipment such as generators, cooling, compressed air, and HVAC systems.
• Prepare work instructions, conduct quality controls, and ensure compliance with O&M manuals, safety and ISO standards.
• Manage spare‑part inventory, tool maintenance, and condition‑based monitoring data (vibration, oil, temperature).
• Produce incident reports with root‑cause analysis and maintain detailed maintenance records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in hydro, thermal, cogeneration, or oil & gas plant maintenance.
